Difference between Verification and Validation
- Verification is a process in Software testing which includes checking documents, design, code to ensure whether the software is built according to the requirements.
- It focuses on the quality, design, architecture, etc.
- Activities are followed such as walkthrough, reviews and inspection.
- Validation on the other hand focuses on the principle "whether the product meets the exact needs of the customers".
- It involved unit testing, integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing.
Overall the interviewer didn't had much knowledge in testing and his questions were high level. He didn't seem to be technically proficient.
If you are looking for a functional testing job and don't have much exposure to technical areas, you might consider to apply in this company.
